Questions about specific scriptures

Joel 3:9-17, which seems to indicate that the Day of the Lord/rapture occurs after the armies gather for Armageddon (armies gather in the "valley of decision" and then the Sign occurs). According to your timeline, Armageddon doesn't happen until 30 days after the tribulation period is over, so the Day of the Lord coming after that is a big problem. What does this passage mean?

If you read this passage in Joel it is not a chronological listing of events. Rather, it is a summary of what will happen when the Day of the Lord does come. The main part of the passage in question is:

Joel 3:14 (NIV) Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine. 16 The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the LORD will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.

This would be like saying that when Jesus comes He will judge the nations and rescue His people. That doesn't mean it will happen in that order - it just means that the Day of the Lord will contain these things. You must also let the scripture interpret itself. The Bible plainly states that God's people will not endure His wrath - for example:

Romans 5:9 (NIV) Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!

1 Thess 1:10 (NIV) and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead--Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

1 Thess 5:9 (NIV) For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Day of the Lord will be initiated by the rapture and then God's wrath will be poured upon the world being culminated at the battle of Armageddon. Even in this passage in Joel it is as if he is saying that the Day of the Lord will be wrath, which it will, but then he ends by saying don't be discouraged because before that - the sun will be darkened, etc. - which is the sign of the Day of the Lord and then the rapture will happen.

Acts 2:20 (NIV) The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.

Mark 13:24 (NIV) "But in those days, following that distress, "´the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25 the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' 26 "At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

Now, according to these scriptures, tell me what the order of events will be?
