How do you counter the pre-trib argument that the multitude in Rev 7:9-17 are the tribulation saints, - those who came to faith in Christ during the 7-year period after the Church has been taken out?

The passage in Revelation 7 describes this multitude as "from every nation, tribe, people, and language" and as a multitude that "no one could count."  The pre-trib argument has been that the 144,000 Jewish people that are sealed become evangelists and the greatest revival in history takes place during the tribulation period. But they also contend that the rapture happens first and the Holy Spirit is removed along with the church. So, the greatest revival in history takes place without the Holy Spirit being present - this makes no sense. Furthermore, there is no scriptural evidence for these Jewish people even being believers at the time they are sealed, much less that they are evangelists. There is also no evidence for this revival taking place. On the contrary, the Bible says...

2 Thess 2:9 (NIV) The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, 10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

The weight of scriptural evidence supports the PreWrath view. This multitude appears after the 6th seal which is the sign of the Day of the Lord, and before the 7th seal which is the beginning of the 7 trumpets and God's wrath. The size of this multitude can only be explained by one group - the raptured saints dead and alive who have put their faith in Christ.
